Hello, and welcome! Creating a business email address or create business email address. Now, this is a really important step. I can not tell you how many times people get red flagged over just a small little email. And then as a business owner, you want to have a professional email, right? Don’t be that person who doesn’t have a professional email. So I’m going to show you really quickly the options to get this knocked out and really how to cover this. So it’s really simple. So I’m going to break down how to set up a business, email address and steps to create a business email address using your own domain. Okay. This is very, very key. You can use G Suite, you can use Zoho mail, or you can use HostGator via a Cpanel. Either of these options are going to be sufficient. Do not skip this step because you already have a business email.
Now let me kind of be clear. You know, your business email address must be a domain email address, meaning it doesn’t need to be a Gmail. So whether you’re running a small or large company for credit purposes, you must appear as large as possible. Can I stress this enough? So one thing that big companies do do is they provide their employees with email addresses at their company domains name, not Gmails, not MSNs not Yahoo unless the employees work for those actual companies. So even if you only need to use you, you really only need one email address. I know I only had one when I first started off, but it needs to be your company’s domain name for appearance’s sake. Okay. So use a domain name, email address, everything related to your business and everything related to your business. All your applications are going to be at that domain name.
So for example, I have several different domain email addresses at this point, but for this home, you can have a support@yourdomainname.com. So I have a support@mymoneyedu.com, in this example, but I have my own email address. All of my staff members have their own email address and it’s @mymoneyedu.com. You don’t want to have thistrapdude@gmail or funkmaster13@yahoo or yourbusinessname@gmail, do not do that. If you’re currently operating under that domain name, then I would highly recommend you immediately stop for credit purposes. Okay. We need to get a business email address set-up for that business. So that way you don’t appear to be smaller than what need to be and then now you’re going to be viewed as a joke. Okay? So, we want to do things like support@mymoneyedu.com, yourname@yourdomainname.com.
No free email addresses. Okay. Just to be clear, no Gmails, no Yahoo, is not hot, no Hotmail. It’s, it just baffles me in 2021 as of recording of this particular video, but 2022, 2023, whenever you’re watching this, that, why would you say that you’re a full-time business owner, but you don’t have an actual legitimate domain name email. Okay. And then even if you are a legitimate business owner and you’re getting money, you’re making 500K, you’re making a million, you’re making $2 million and you’re still operating under a Gmail account, I’m just going to I’m just going to encourage you to slow down and then put some systems in place, i.e just that simple email and look good. So again, just because you make that money doesn’t mean that you can go out and obtain money from the banks as we already understand. So setting up the structure is really important.
So I’m going to go ahead and come out of this slide, presentation and show you right below this video, where you can go. My preferred recommendation is G Suite. So you can come right here. And G Suite is just like Gmail. The only difference is it’s at your own domain name. So I have G Suite. You can just sit here and get started. And then your name, the name of your company. If it’s just you, you just put your information here and you will go through the steps. I think it’s just like five or 10 bucks a month to set this up. It’s not that difficult, but you would just really just say what your current information is, and then you will follow the steps. So I’m not going to cover this in great detail. It’s pretty, self-explanatory another option you can do is you can do Zoho mail.
And again, I’m including this link right here and this telling you the differences between each one of the mail stations. So, again, my preferred would be G Suite because it’s just like having a Gmail. So all the products that Gmail has, you would have at your domain name and Gmail is really, really flexible. Again, I love Gmail. It is phenomenal. Use Google docs, Google sheets, Google drive, Shared drive, Google voice. I use Google, everything, Google everything. So again, if I’m you, I would do Google, but you can also use Zoho mail. Now, if you choose to buy a domain name, you may already have hosting and you can use a provider called HostGator. You could technically set up a hosting account under the Cpanel of that particular email account. And then if you get HostGator, they can walk you through. But it’s really, really simple to create different email accounts under your Cpanel dashboard.
So these are a few screenshots on how to do it again. I’m not making this a tech video. The point I’m making is get it done on company email and do not move on to the next step. Unless you have a company email, because you’re going to start trying to do the funding and you’re gonna use your doofus Gmail account, Yahoo account. And you’re going to ding yourself before you even get started. Okay. So choose one of these options again, Zoho or G Suite. My preferred is G Suite and then get this knocked out and then move on to the next step.
