This particular cheatsheet is to show you how to opt-out of Epsilon and this one is a little bit different. You have to number one, if you’re on this step, you’re watching this video now. But what you have to do is email this, this email right here, and just put, opt-out and just include your first name, last name, and your address, and essentially the information that we’ve been including in all the other previous cheatsheet. So just send that email to that, requesting your opt-out then for extra credit, what you can do is you can opt-out of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), and the way you do that is you click on this particular link right here, and what it’s going to do is give you the ability to opt-out of any interest-based advertising, which again is just another way that you can silence your data from being shared or them using this data to really target you or do anything.
So, you can just click on where it says, manage my browser opt-outs and when you do that, this is going to ask you to go through this process like it’s doing right now for me, and you will be able to opt-out. It’s really, excuse me. It’s really, really simple, and powerful. Then the other way you can do this is if you choose to, you can opt-out of any mobile information as well. And the way you would do that is just click on this link. Let me just pull it up. Copy. Okay. And really what it’s saying is you can opt-out of your, like if you have, iOS Apple 7, iPhone, do opt-out. Just really breaking down how can you opt-out on the phones from giving any type of ads and any additional targeting and all that good stuff. So again, extra credit stuff there, all the stuff is here showing you how to get the privacy and get the advertising removed from your phone as well, because this is another way that they target you. So not necessarily for credit, but you’d be surprised like this advertising information is credit information and be really, really close. So that’s another way you can opt -out to make sure your information isn’t in use against you or you aren’t being marketed to.
