Hello, and welcome to the hard inquiry challenge letter. So you have already completed your personal identifier challenge with Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. Let’s continue the momentum. So we are going to work on the hard inquiry challenge letter. And again, this is going to be a really quick module, but there’s a couple of things I want to show before we even started doing it, and I’ll walk you through everything step-by-step. So what I’m going to do is show you how to input the data specifically, and then I’m going to also show you completing the template generator for the hard inquiry. Now, it’s really, really important that when you enter in the data you enter in your first name, your last name, street number, street name, city, state, zip, and then only the inquiry. So I’ve already covered this, but I want to reiterate and show you something specifically.
So notice, with your first name. Notice on my first time I have the first letter capital and everything else is lowercase. Okay. So I want you to make sure that your name is entered in with a capital letter at the beginning. Same thing with your last name and then your street number, it’s only the number, and then whatever the name of your street, you’re only going to put the name, but we’re only going to capitalize the first letter, same thing with the city, capitalize the first letter. Capitalize the first letter and then put the zip code and then we’re going to put the inquiry there as well. All right. So that’s really, really important for you to get, so let me go ahead and pull up the actual letter generator right below this video. All right. So once you get here, what you’re going to do is enter in all of your information.
So again, we already did the credit audit sheet and we’re going to be pulling our inquiries from this. Now, one thing I did is I just went ahead and color coded my inquiries, that way, per bureau, so that way it was easier for me to be able to select them as I’m creating the template letter. So you can do whatever color code you choose. I just did yellow for Experian, gray for TransUnion, and then blue for Equifax. So what we’re going to do is go ahead and fill out the letter. So we’re going to focus on whatever our date is. So we would just put today’s date whenever that is, then we’re going to select the data source. So whether you use SmartCredit or Identity IQ, let’s just say, I use SmartCredit. Then we’re going to type in the first, your first name only.
So I’m going to type in my first name, just like this, right? Just like I showed you, then I’m going to type in my email and again, make sure you type in the email that you will receive, because we’re going to send the challenge letter to that email. So type in the correct email, the last four digits of your social security number, and then again, your full address, but only the street number like I have. Street name like I have. City name like I have, just like that format, state, like I have, and it’s really not necessary to put the zip, even though I put it there, you don’t have to necessarily include it. All right, just like this. And then you would just put your date of birth. And again, remember when you do your date of birth, you want to make sure you select whatever your date is.
So if I was born January 29th, you notice how I did 2020. I need to also make sure I select the year. So I will go back to, let’s just say I was born in 1977, which I wasn’t, and I would need to choose the year first, then have the, then have the month, then I can choose a day. And then it’s going to say that way. Now the credit bureau address, we need to choose a letter, the bureau that we’re creating this for. So let’s just say we’re creating it for TransUnion. All right. And then at 20-digit tracking number, you can just select one of these tracking numbers. And then if we’re doing TransUnion, we would just go over to our sheet and we literally can just copy paste the information for TransUnion. So again, remember TransUnion was green, so I’m just going to go right here.
Ctrl + copy. Then I am going to do what ctrl + paste, just like that. It’s right there. Navy Federal Credit Union. All right. Then I will go back over here. So notice that’s why I did that like that. Ctrl + copy there’s again, another TransUnion ctrl + paste. All right, and then I’m going to get fixed the space in between there. Now notice we only have two inquiries on TransUnion, but we still have 11 possibilities because remember we could only enter in up to 11 inquiries per bureau, per letter, but it has got this mandatory field, right? So if you don’t have 11 inquiries, just simply put dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. So that way we can at least have something in that data field because the template letter generator will not allow you to move forward unless you put something there, just put a dot and then you just hit submit.
And that is it. Okay. You’re going to come to this video right here. Watch that video. Then once you’re done hit mark complete, and I will see you in the negative account challenge round. Now make sure you do this for TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. So if you needed to just go ahead and redo this really quickly, you would really simply just hit hard inquiries one more time. So we would just go right here, hit hard inquiry, and then if I’m going to do this for the other two bureaus, I would then go and do it for the other two. So again, Experian in this scenario, we would do the same exact thing because we see Experian is yellow. You get the point. Okay. So I will see you in the hard inquiry, I will see you in the negative account challenge letter.
